Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The service was great, friendly & inviting! Had the Apple Dumpling, wish I would’ve ordered the Sloppy Joe! The Apple Dumpling was good but I would’ve preferred it to be more evenly heated. It was like room temperature on one side and hot on the other side! I wish vanilla ice cream was an option to add.

FAV PLACE!!!! Located inside of reading terminal market, always busy!! Love the staff and the food, especially the prices and portioning. Hop on a regional rail line and get off at jefferson station for the best bite to eat :) Always find myself coming back here. Apple dumpling is also a must try!

What a hidden gem in the Reading Terminal Market. A counter seating dinner style place for breakfast and lunch. The portions are large!!,,consider sharing, service is personable, and food cooked to order served promptly. Our server, Rose, was cordial and amicable, provided service with a smile. This is a very popular place, plan to wait for a seat. I will definitely patronize this establishment again.

Service was excellent. Strawberry Pancakes scrambled eggs and bacon woth coffee and orange juice very good. The fresh blueberry lemonade was different but delicious. I would recommend The Dutch Eating Place and will return. Thank you to their team, Friday morning around 10AM, 12 June 2026.

My spouse and I were staying across the street from the Reading Terminal and decided to come in for breakfast. The Dutch Eating Place is two counters and a grill, so I can easily see it getting overwhelmingly busy quickly. My husband ordered eggs, pancakes, home fries, and sausage, which came out quickly. The home fries were covered in curry powder, which was a nice touch. He enjoyed his meal immensely and we were done within 30 minutes. This was an excellent place for a quick meal.
